Our Last week =[

Well this is our last week of the frst semester. Its sad to say but it is, i already did my presentation with my group which was with marco hector and i. We did a great job though, we did practice a lot before the presentation and collaborated as a team. I thing that we worked well as a team and we did disagree on some stuff but then we got back on track and we agreed. What i liked most is that we got to give out each our own opinion on what we throught each of the characters of the book overcame their tramatic situaion. And that was cool because it felt like a group presentation but at the same time it felt like a individual presentation. Our 3 books that we read were a child called it mans search for meaning and because of romek. All these books were great but my favorite book was a child called it, it was sad but good. And now im done with english and i now have to get ready for the governmnent final and the essay, and also the math final! Its soo crazy, its all flying by so fast. I hope my outcome will be okay. I will miss this english class.
The work that im most proud of that i accomplished in english class was the in class essay, the very first one i prepared for it and i ended up getting a b+ on it. And the skill that i have gained is my writing skills. I know how to quickly create a web of my thoughts and create an essay.
My way of thinking, my critical thinking skills has improved. I also learned that if i prepare before an assignment it will come out better.I would love to improve my vocabulary because i feel that i dont know that many big words. And i would also want to read more books because i get a lot from them and learn many new things. Aand they can also help improve my vocabulary.

The almost last week before break!

So this week i worked on my inquiry project and getting ready for the finals. Also on friday we had community service day and what my advisory and i did was that we went to this place in mira mesa and helped out the children in need. However i have to admit im getting pretty stressed out because the math and government homework are going to be tough!, its not going to be a walk in the park that's for sure. And im almost ready for the inquiry project the only thing that i need to do is that i have to finish my annotated bibliography for both my books that i read and for my sources that i got based on trama. I overall love my project because is has to do with psychology, that is what i want to major in. And it is sad to know that many people all over the world no matter where they are they go through tough and difficult times. Especially when they are young kids that seems even more sad to me. But overall i have to admit it is very interesting. This project just makes me wants to study psychology. But my strategy for the last week before break is to try to keep my focus and not give up.

This past week it was a bit of a struggle for me to get back started. Especially after thanksgiving break! Also i messed up my shoulder so its hard to write and move as much, very uncomfterable. So we started on this new project for stephanies class and it seems interesting each day we have to do a certain amount on the packet of the project. So far i have finished my annotated bibliographys for my 2 books that i read. The only thing i do feel like i can do better and need to improve on is trying to get more done in math because its getting tougher and im really not that good in math so i need to get my flow going through again. I cant believe that this semester is almost done! its crazy to think that my senior year is about half way done. So far so good the only thing that i would really like to see is for my grade for english to go up! i dont know why its so low if i do good in my essays and stuff since that is a big part of the grade. well other than that i have to keep motavated and get all the final projects done and get ready for finals.

5th week of blogging

This week we all had to work on our own tragedy essay. And the rough draft was due this Thursday. I did do a really good job in the essay but im thankful that its my rough draft because im sure that i have a lot of typos and im one hundred percent sure that that i have many corrections to do. What i did was that i talked about all 3 authors which were miller krutch and aristotle. I talked about their beliefs of a tragedy and what they think is a perfect tragedy. And then in my concluding paragraph i put my own personal beliefs. This project or the essay is not as bad i thought it would be because the readings that we did previous to the essay and i didn't really understand them but after making a chart and writing down with who i agree with and who i disagree with it made it much more easier to do for me. After that i wrote down all of my thoughts on a piece of paper and i started to write down my essay. I ended up having about 1,300 words for my essay but im sure for my essay corrections that i will have a little bit more. So far so good though im proud of my work but i also acknowledge that i have to fix my essay.

There was no school on Monday, so it was great!. We worked on The Tragedy Project and we finished the Retell/Respond/Relate assignment which consisted on reading these stories and make some kind of summary, repond it meaning give your opinion about it and relate it with something or somebody. By reading these stories, I noticed that tragedy is a word with different kinds of meanings. We made a poster in Art class for Exhibition night about Prop. 21 and displayed them later on in exibition. And exibition went well as well, so far tragedy is weird and confusing.

College Day!

college day was the best day ever, i got to talk to a psychologist professor at SDSU and i got there kind of late so i didn't really get to hear his speech that long, but i did get to talk to his assistant and he gave me a bunch or resourceful information and i might get a head start and start community college in janurary and hopefully transfer my credits into my school that i will be attending. I am so motavated and cant wait to get a feel for that and am glad that i went on friday to sdsu.

1st In class essay

So this week was our first in class essay on our book that we have read foe the past months. I personally think that i did good because i loved the book that i read which was "The mans search for meaning", and it was basically about a physiologist that went threw the holocaust. And not only did he go threw the holocaust but he survived it and wrote down like a diary of what he did what he was going through and all of the crazy experiences. My essay ended up being 946 words and am very proud of myself for it i just hope that my grade reflects on my hard work and effort that i put to this essay. I did also fill out the worksheet that Stephanie gave us in order to help us out a bit in the essay. Now i just have to wait and see what i got on my essay.
